Our research and what we publish
Six pillars. Four formats.
Each pillar draws on a specialist with genuine standing in that field. But our team's experience runs wider than any single subject, so members contribute across pillars, bringing the economic, security, health, climate, and social dimensions that every real question contains. This is how one question receives many answers.
Migration & Diaspora Governance
How Nepal's labour migration system actually works for the millions who depend on it. We examine recruitment, worker protection, the record on deaths and compensation abroad, and the diaspora that sustains the national economy.
Climate & Rural Resilience
Climate adaptation, disaster governance, and food security. Our focus is whether climate and development resources actually reach the rural and marginalized communities most exposed to them.
Public Health Systems
How Nepal's health system is financed, staffed, and delivered. We look at hospital systems and health data, and at the health consequences of migration and poverty.
Security, Diplomacy & Geopolitics
National security, foreign policy, and Nepal's and South Asia's place in the world. We examine regional security and the balance between India and China, regional diplomacy, and non-traditional warfare, from cyber threats and disinformation to economic coercion and hybrid pressure, translating how security and foreign policy actually work for citizens who rarely see inside them.
Digital Governance
How the state adopts technology, from digital ID to government service systems and the digital economy. We examine these from the implementation layer, where systems succeed or fail in practice.
Religious & Cultural-Political Literacy
Distinguishing authentic religious and cultural scholarship from its political instrumentalization, and examining how identity narratives shape public life in Nepal and the wider region.
What we publish
The Institute is in its founding phase. These are the formats our research takes, each held to the same verification standard.
Civic-literacy explainers
Plain-language pieces that make a documented system understandable, how labour recruitment works, what compensation a migrant family is owed, why a policy matters, in written and video form.
Public-record trackers
Factual, non-editorial trackers built from what public bodies already disclose, bill status, official commitments, and whether stated promises are actually kept over time.
Primary-document research briefs
Deeper research grounded in official gazette notices, court filings, procurement records, and published data, walking readers through the paper trail, source by source.
“One Question, Many Answers”
A recorded interview series bringing specialists from across institutional and ideological lines to one question at a time, edited, verified, and released with full context.
